A nationally-published and award-winning video producer, Jim Crawford specializes in digital media communication and public relations. Jim has over a decade of professional experience in digital media management, photography, public relations, graphic design, and videography.

 

Jim has previously served as a communications director across multiple industries, including college athletics, professional sport, event management, finance, and investing. In his previous position with CoPeace, Jim oversaw the creation and development of the CoPeace brand, including digital and print materials and web design. In the role, he learned to simplify complex investment language for an everyday audience, and managed a team of contractors working as copywriters, web developers, and social media managers to streamline projects.

 

Prior to his work with CoPeace, Jim served as the director of communications with Basketball Travelers, Inc., an elite sports event and travel management company. During his time with the company, Jim created and maintained the brand and messaging for Division-I men's and women's basketball tournaments, international sport tours, and U.S. delegations to the Summer and Winter World University Games (Universiade).

As an undergraduate student at Washington State University, Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in multimedia journalism. During his time as a student in the WSU Honors College, Jim completed a thesis on sport fan engagement on Twitter.


After graduating magna cum laude in 2015, Jim earned a position in the Washington State University Athletic Department working as an assistant director of Athletic Communications. In his role within the organization, Jim oversaw all public relations, digital media, and social media of women's soccer and women's basketball. With over six years of experience in intercollegiate athletics, Jim has also handled public relations responsibilities for the sports of rowing, golf, and swimming.

 

In addition to his work in public relations, Jim has served as a nationally-award-winning video producer. While working as an undergraduate in Washington State University's recreation department, Jim produced videos using Adobe Premiere to promote health and fitness. Working with the Movember Foundation, Jim produced a video to promote men's health. The campaign was recognized by the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association as the top marketing campaign in the country.

 

As a student in The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, Jim produced a short documentary featuring a local girls' basketball team. The story was published by ESPNw and nominated for a Pacific Northwest Regional Emmy award.

 

Jim also has experience in the professional sports industry, having worked in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), the country's premiere women's soccer league. During the NWSL's inaugural season, Jim served as an intern for the Seattle Reign Football Club. He produced several promotional video segments, including a diversity promotion video featuring world-renowned soccer players Megan Rapinoe and Jessica Fishlock.

 

Jim is proficient in Spanish and eager to expand his knowledge. A dedicated and driven worker, he hopes to continue growing and developing skills in the digital media and public relations field.
